POSTPONED
The VAMDC 2020 workshop is postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic and the unforeseeable possibilities of most of our speakers to participate the conference.
The 2020 Virtual Atomic and Molecular Data Centre (VAMDC)
Consortium Workshop
The 2020 "VAMDC Consortium" session will be co-organized in the frame of the 30th Summer School and International Symposium on the Physics of Ionized Gases (SPIG) that will be held in Šabac, Serbia, August 24 – 28, 2020. The VAMDC session is scheduled for 24th of August. The meeting will open at 9:00 PM on Monday, Aug 24th and close at 17:00 PM on Monday, Aug 24th.
The Virtual Atomic and Molecular Data Centre (VAMDC) Consortium is a worldwide consortium which federates atomic and molecular (A&M) databases through an e-science infrastructure. It provides and organizes a support for this activity.
The workshop aims to review the database issues in atomic and molecular physics for scientific research and applications. In particular, it involves the exchange between producers and data users, especially in the context of plasma processes, radiative transfer codes and astrophysics. We wish to identify the current needs in this area and review the current and future tools and developments.
The workshop is dominantly dedicated to VAMDC collaborators, but also to all SPIG participants who might find interesting possibilities and topics regarding the multidisciplinary studies.
